Appearance

Though actually of average height and weight for a woman, Tsunade often leaves people with the impression that she is far taller and more muscular than she actually is. Those who enjoy women on a sexual level tend to be drawn to her sexual attributes (her breasts in specific, let's be blunt here), though even those of an incompatible orientation are stricken by her intense honey-colored eyes.

Abilities/Powers

First, she is the undisputed master of medical techniques. Tsunade performs medical techniques with a speed and precision unknown to any other, including modifying her own body's chakra flow on the fly during combat.

Tsunade is definitely on the short list of "strongest people in the world", easily in the top three if not the very top. Her taijutsu skills are in line with that, and it could reasonably be assumed she'd know the basic ninja weapons (kunai, shuriken) along with every other ninja Konoha ever graduated.

Though she has the immense chakra reserves and longevity that go along with her Senju and Uzumaki blood, there is no evidence either for or against her having their innate abilities. Tsunade is definitely a sensor, and her nature type is definitely lightning release. She does not have even a glimmer of Wood Release, though plants love her and grow stronger anywhere she lives.

One oft-overlooked ability of Tsunade's is her immense intelligence. She is able to diagnose and treat even illnesses and conditions completely unknown to her, and somehow still finds the time to properly train an apprentice.

Personality

With the determination and dedication that drove her to fight through two wars, and the skill and intelligence that kept her alive for over forty years as a kunoichi, Tsunade is revered. She's forgotten more secrets than the vast majority of ninja will ever know, could kill most jounin while stinking drunk and on the borderline of chakra exhaustion, and deals with the common medical ailments as casually and effectively as breathing. Any ninja under her command has trusted her with their life and followed her into the dark without question, and she's gone against suicidal odds on retrieval missions after being advised to let it go. On paper, she's a living legend, larger than life and the ideal of kunoichi and shinobi both.

In person, it's a little different.

Prone to drunkenness while not actively treating a patient, unimaginably petty, and with a flashpoint temper that has to be seen to believed, Tsunade hardly acts like Konoha's paragon most days. She favors henge that completely disguise her, but even if she didn't, many would never believe one of Konoha's Sannin could get into a staring match with an eight-year old over ice cream. She still has the capacity to be the kunoichi of legend, but outside Konoha General, most who meet her are disappointed that the woman is very much mortal, and acts the part.

History

Up until Minato came to her about Obito, Tsunade's history is exactly the same.

Though she had been steadfast about leaving Konoha as soon as the war was over, Minato's plea hit Tsunade hard. With the war coming to an end, Tsunade had planned to go on the road with Shizune the second the ink was dry on the cease-fire, but Minato persuaded her not to leave, to stay just long enough to get Obito out of the woods.

"Just long enough to get Obito out of the woods" ended up taking several months. He was in critical status when she started, and took over a month just to get to a point where he didn't require hours of care a day from her personally. Truth be told, she could have left after the first month. However, that would have left Obito permanently scarred, possibly with a droop to one side of his face. So she stayed, feeling that leaving a teenager permanently deformed when she could fix it was cruel in the extreme.

(She drank in his cheer and will to live like a flower in the sun. For so long, she'd been so joyless and dead, and here was this thirteen year-old boy who wouldn't let go of life, despite the certainty that he would be forever changed.)

Tsunade is a wanderer, now, though for different reasons than in canon. Instead of passively trying to kill herself with alcohol and other bad decisions, she travels for the love of travel. She enjoys meeting new people and learning new stories, though every year she's found herself circling a little closer to Konoha.
